Project Panel (Left Sidebar)

The left panel contains project-wide settings and general actions.

Sections:

• Project Name: Name your current project.
• Dimensions: Define width, length, and height of the box.
  • Units can be switched between cm and inches.
• Material Thickness: Set your material’s thickness (e.g., 3mm plywood or acrylic).
• Outer Sizing:
  •  Checked → Dimensions include material thickness.
  • ☐ Unchecked → Dimensions refer to inner cavity size. The overall size is bigger.

• Enabled Sides: Choose which sides (Front, Back, Top, Bottom, Left, Right) are visible and editable.
• Update Sides : Regenerates the box with selected sides.

Load / Export:

•  Load: Load an existing .json project.
•  Export: Save your design as a .json file.

Canvas Area (Center)

The main workspace where you can visually edit your design.

• 2D View: Edit shapes, holes, and cutouts directly on a selected side.
• 3D View: Rotate and inspect the overall box using the mouse.

Mouse Controls:

• Left click: Select or move a component.
• Scroll wheel: Zoom in/out.
• Middle mouse click and hold: Pan view (2D), Move camera position (3D).
• Right click + drag (3D only): Orbit around the box.

Component Editor (Right Sidebar)

This panel updates when you select a component.

You can adjust:

• Type: Rectangle or Circle
• Text: Shown above the component, and rotates with it
• Text Size: Size of the text in points (pt)
• Position: X / Y coordinates
• Size: Width, Height, Diameter
• Rotation: In degrees clockwise (e.g., 0°, 18°, 45°, 90°)
• Function:
  • Drill Diameter (For Rounded Components): The diameter to create a cut.
  • Drill Width/Length (For Rectangular Cmponents): The drill dimensions to create a cut.
  • Visible Diameter/Visible Width/Visual Length: The dimensions of a recess area or engraved region, and also determine the spacing between the component and its label text.
    If a Visible Diameter value is entered, it takes precedence and the other two values will be ignored.
    Both Rounded and Rectangular components can include drill or visible (recess) parameters.

You can also delete or duplicate components from this panel.
